Join the ranks of skilled and experienced military veterans as a Kia Certified Service Technician at Gerald Kia Naperville! This exciting opportunity is part of Kia America's initiative to support veterans through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various Kia vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
- Accurately complete repair orders and warranty requests according to established Kia and retailer policies.
- Conduct thorough test drives to analyze, diagnose, and repair vehicle components using specialized Kia diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform timely services, diagnostics, and repairs while effectively communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Note: All employment opportunities advertised here are with independently owned Kia retailers. Applicants will be applying for full-time positions with a participating Kia retailer, not with Kia America or ERS. Employment decisions are made at the discretion of each retailer based on eligibility, skill, and experience criteria for the VTAP program.
Requirements:
- Must possess an Honorable Discharge from military service.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a technical or mechanical field is essential.
- Willingness to complete and pass drug screenings and background checks.
