As an Automotive Service Manager at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will embody our core values and lead the service department to success. Your key responsibilities will include cultivating a motivated team atmosphere, directly engaging with the Service Team to enhance their skills, and implementing efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in the recruitment process, contributing to final hiring decisions.
- Oversee technicians and service staff, managing their schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion.
- Provide coaching to service department employees on operational standards and processes within the ISI systems.
- Engage with customers regarding sales, service inquiries, and adjustments.
- Assess the performance and productivity of service department personnel.
- Manage parts inventory and external purchases, ensuring compliance with the Parts and Tire Purchase Program.
- Maintain store safety standards and oversee the upkeep of safety equipment.
- Oversee the layout and positioning of equipment within the service department.
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols in the shop area.
- Instruct team members on the wheel torquing process and verify that necessary inspections are performed.
