Position Overview:
The Automotive Detail Supervisor is a key supervisory role that entails directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates within the Inspection Center, ensuring that production targets are consistently achieved. Please note, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely manage the flow of vehicles in and out of the Inspection Center for repairs while consistently meeting or exceeding production and quality goals.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
- Oversee daily operations of the assigned team; assess team strengths and weaknesses; identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary steps.
- Engage with team members, providing appropriate coaching, development, and performance management; give constructive feedback and demonstrate desired skills.
- Foster a work environment that encourages open communication, team unity, and adherence to Carvana's core values.
- Proactively share information with team members to ensure a clear understanding of expectations, performance metrics, and objectives.
- Address and resolve conflicts among team members effectively.
- Monitor compliance with systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
- Lead a team of production associates and collaborate with the Inspection Center General Manager to either repair or reject inventory based on repair cost estimates and overall vehicle quality.
- Conduct training and development for the team.
