About Upstart
At Upstart, we are driven by a mission that resonates: to significantly lower the cost and complexity of borrowing for individuals across America. Each day, we harness creativity, experimentation, and cutting-edge AI technology to transform access to credit, empowering millions to progress financially with confidence and clarity.
As the premier AI lending marketplace, we collaborate with banks and credit unions to broaden access to affordable credit via technology that is not only highly intelligent but also deeply human-centric. Our platform processes over one million predictions for each borrower, utilizing more than 1,800 data signals to facilitate smarter, fairer decisions for countless customers. These figures merely hint at the profound impact we aim to achieve. Every idea, every voice, and every contribution propels us closer to a reality where credit does not hinder individuals from achieving their financial aspirations.
We proudly embrace a digital-first approach, allowing most Upstarters the flexibility to perform their best work from anywhere they thrive, alongside peers in over 80 cities across the US and Canada. Digital-first does not equate to distant; we prioritize in-person connections through team gatherings, strategic planning sessions, and moments that ignite creativity and trust. Whether you prefer to work remotely or engage in-person at one of our offices in Columbus, Austin, the Bay Area, or New York City (opening Summer 2026), you will receive the support necessary to thrive in your work environment.
If you are motivated by solving significant challenges, eager to innovate with purpose, and inspired by work that truly matters, we would be excited to hear from you.
