At Guidepost Montessori, our Assistant Guides play a crucial role in nurturing the independence, confidence, and love of learning in children aged 0–6. If you have a passion for working with young minds and wish to thrive in a nurturing, purpose-driven environment, we want to connect with you!
Your Role:
As an Assistant Guide, you will support a diverse Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House for ages 3–6), fostering a calm and engaging atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and progress at their pace. You will collaborate to prepare beautiful learning spaces and assist children through individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. Most importantly, you will empower children to trust in themselves and uncover their potential.
Your Responsibilities:
- Closely observe children to understand and support their unique needs.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and organized classroom environment.
- Facilitate individual and small-group learning sessions.
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Collaborate with Lead Guides and fellow team members to foster a strong classroom community.
Qualifications We Seek:
- Experience with children aged 3–6 in educational or childcare settings.
- A positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori framework (prior Montessori experience is a plus but not mandatory).
