Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a store culture that aligns with Staples values and commitment to community
- Lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, and driving conversions
- Coach and develop your team for success through training and role-playing
- Achieve sales and service goals while managing store operations and profit margins
- Establish a routine for sales readiness
- Identify merchandising opportunities to enhance store presentation
- Collaborate with the General Manager on operational tasks
- Share responsibilities for overall store operations and cost control
- Champion company initiatives and adapt to changes effectively
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing a sales team in a retail or service environment
- Proven experience in managing and coaching a customer-centric team
- Strong customer engagement skills to understand and meet their needs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Able to analyze results against business objectives and develop growth strategies
- Conflict management skills in a constructive, collaborative manner
- Demonstrate integrity in handling customer and business information
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing 10-50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with financial metrics to drive team performance and store profitability
