Position Summary:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing the clinical operations of our home health agency. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering staff development, and effectively implementing our clinical standards, policies, and procedures across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the DON in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical policies and procedures.
• Oversee daily clinical operations to guarantee high-quality and efficient patient care.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations, including CMS and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Engage in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and data assessments.
• Assist in managing clinical staff scheduling, productivity, and capacity planning.
• Support the onboarding, training, and competency validation processes for clinical staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing personnel.
• Facilitate case conferences, clinical evaluations, and care coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
• Investigate patient care concerns and incident reports, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation throughout the agency.
• Act as the DON in their absence.
