We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Master Data team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the team's reporting efforts and ensuring the seamless execution of master data activities. Your contributions will be vital in promoting effective stakeholder engagement and optimizing our processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the creation and modification of master data for vendors, customers, and bank information.
- Provide first-line support for operational processes and applications.
- Proactively identify and resolve minor issues within processes or tools through collaborative efforts.
- Prioritize and manage tasks essential for completing changes within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Offer insights for continuous improvement in master data management processes to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure compliance of vendor data with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist Supply Chain, Cash Management, and accounts payable teams with vendor information inquiries.
- Adhere to procedures and controls regarding bank verifications and call confirmations during approvals.
- Conduct thorough documentation reviews and escalate any concerns to the team and supervisor.
- Engage in effective root cause analysis, contributing to enhancements in controls and process efficiency.
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and system improvements affecting master data.
- Collaborate effectively with the broader Accounting Services and Supply Chain teams to build relationships and capacity.
