Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Leadership: Serve as the primary advocate for the designated territory, steering AbbVie’s market access initiatives. Oversee regional operations, acting as the chief liaison to premium clients to ensure coherence between local strategies and corporate objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Influence Mapping: Formulate and execute tailored market access strategies for the local area, utilizing influence maps to pinpoint key stakeholders in access (e.g., PBMs, employers, payers, IDNs), assess new market entrants (e.g., health systems, aggregators, VMFs), and adapt engagement strategies to enhance access to critical brands.
- Contract Management & Negotiation: Collaborate with the Area Access Director to strategize and implement direct contracts with area clients, ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s Market Access strategy and goals.
- Customer Relations & Issue Resolution: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing clients, handling daily interactions and proactively addressing issues. Ensure the timely implementation of solutions and keep Area Directors apprised of significant developments or challenges.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Centers of Excellence, Area Directors, Area Strategists, FRMs, MOSLs, Patient Support Services) to share insights, tackle immediate challenges, and facilitate seamless customer experiences.
- Business Development & Innovation: Identify new opportunities within the region, proposing initiatives to broaden access, strengthen customer relations, and promote AbbVie’s product offerings. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor movements to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on crucial performance metrics to ensure regional goals are achieved or surpassed. Utilize data analytics (e.g., MABI) to evaluate contract efficacy, inform forthcoming initiatives, and continuously enhance overall performance and execution.
Work Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours within an 8-hour workday)
- Must be based within the region, ideally near a major airport
- Required travel to client locations within the designated area
