Aqua-Tots MWSI (Manager of Water Safety Instruction) Position Objective: Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Aquatic Manager, and Aquatic Team to supervise all aquatic operations. Your role will be pivotal in upholding our company’s core values, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards for quality and instructional lessons. It is essential that the AT-MWSI is committed to continuously enhancing lesson quality while providing robust support to the AT-WSI team.
The responsibilities of an AT-MWSI are structured within the TEAM framework:
T= TRAIN: Facilitate the training of new AT-WSI members by co-teaching lessons and offering constructive feedback through a Critical Eye approach, ensuring that new instructors grasp the curriculum's foundational concepts and application.
E= EDUCATE: Provide thorough education to both new and existing AT-WSI staff by clearly demonstrating essential skills and addressing common challenges faced in aquatic instruction.
A= ASSESS: Utilize your Critical Eye to evaluate both new and seasoned AT-WSI staff, ensuring adherence to Aqua-Tots' quality standards and providing actionable feedback for improvement.
M= MENTOR: Guide the development of future exemplary swim instructors at Aqua-Tots by fostering relationships, exhibiting leadership, and serving as a role model.
Key duties of the AT-MWSI include:
Co-teach alongside new AT-WSI staff during their training hours to support their learning through each instructional phase.
Conduct in-water skills training for new hires in accordance with Aqua-Tots standards and curriculum.
Perform assessments of all Aquatic Staff to ensure compliance with Aqua-Tots quality standards.
Maintain Advanced Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) when delivering Aqua-Tots lessons.
Execute Deck Supervisor responsibilities as required.
Lead and assist in In-Services for Aquatic Staff as necessary.
Provide instruction and feedback on the Aqua-Tots curriculum for Levels 1-6 to Aquatic Staff.
