We are seeking a passionate and skilled instructor to lead classes in watercolor, acrylic painting, and drawing at our Michaels store in Ontario. This is an incredible part-time, permanent opportunity for an artist looking to share their talent without the need for personal studio space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in realistic painting and drawing techniques.
- Create engaging class plans that enable students to complete a finished piece by the end of each session.
- Actively promote your classes and cultivate a loyal student base.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive hourly rate, plus additional compensation based on student attendance:
- $3 per student for classes labeled as ‘Make A Project’ (scheduled up to once a month).
- For advanced acrylic, watercolor, and drawing classes: $7 per student for up to 6 students, and $10 per student for 7 students or more.
* Class schedules will be coordinated between the instructor and Michaels store management.
Class Duration: Each class lasts for two hours.
Certification Requirement: All art instructors must complete certification through Grumbacher to teach at Michaels.
