About the Role
In the position of Accounts Payable Manager, you will take the lead in the accounts payable department, ensuring that vendor payments are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies. You will manage the entire accounts payable cycle—from the receipt of invoices to the execution of payments—while upholding strong internal controls and fostering collaboration across departments. Additionally, you will mentor and develop the accounts payable team and actively contribute to refining processes that facilitate the ongoing growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts payable process from invoice receipt to payment execution
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounts payable staff
- Ensure precise coding and reconciliation of accounts payable balances
- Manage vendor relationships and address payment discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices, purchase orders, and payments
- Assist with the month-end closing process through accruals and accounts payable analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting field
- Demonstrated experience in supervising accounts payable staff
- Strong understanding of accounts payable controls, reconciliation processes, and vendor payment workflows
- Experience with financial or ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
