Overview
This internship program is designed to familiarize interns with the landscape of online services and the age-related legal, regulatory, and compliance challenges these services encounter. Covering a spectrum from gaming to messaging apps and social media, interns will be introduced to critical issues these businesses face regarding minors and learn how these challenges are addressed globally. Interns will apply their legal research skills in a new context, gaining insights into the operational dynamics of the tech industry on both regional and global scales.
What You'll Do
Regulatory Compliance & Research
Conduct research and review existing age-related and privacy laws across over 190 countries, presenting findings concisely while keeping abreast of new regulations and their implications for online service providers.
Commercial Legal
Draft, review, and comprehend standard corporate and commercial legal documents, applying your legal knowledge within a corporate framework.
Assist Legal Counsels in preparing compliance assessment reports for clients and online service providers.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or LLM (Master of Laws) program at a university in Singapore.
Strong research and analytical capabilities.
A keen interest in technology, privacy law, and digital safety.
