Become an integral part of Datamark, Inc. as an IT Support Technician. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our technology team, executing analytical, technical, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient planning, design, maintenance, and installation of personal computer systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide level 2 triage and onsite support for systems, networks, and telecom services. Engage with end users to ascertain their hardware and software needs, select suitable software solutions, and customize them as necessary. Additionally, you will manage an ample inventory of spare parts for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, and ensure the installation of new hardware and software while maintaining existing systems. Moreover, you will be responsible for training end users on equipment and software usage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure desktop/laptop hardware, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Set up various operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows.
  • Assist with equipment and office relocations as required.
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10 and 11 for common software and hardware issues.
  • Resolve basic network and systems connectivity problems involving routers, switches, servers, and related equipment.
  • Address basic telecommunications issues related to Cisco and Avaya platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain security on all systems, including virus protection and user permissions; report discrepancies to management.
  • Communicate effectively with end users and support personnel regarding technical resolutions.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, update assigned support tickets, and use ITIL as a framework for operations.
  • Serve as an IT liaison for inter-departmental coordination in the absence of the IT Manager.
  • Participate in inventory control and reporting activities.
