Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (BSc, MSc). At least 5 years of proven experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations, or Reliability Engineering roles within medium to large enterprise settings. Extensive experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems in production environments.

The Technology department is looking for an IT Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer to join the Host & Servers Engineering team in Athens. This position plays a key role in maintaining the reliability and modernization of the bank’s core IT systems.

Role overview

This role focuses on supporting major IT initiatives that ensure the performance and availability of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring active involvement in troubleshooting and supporting production environments.

What you will do

  • Maintain high availability and reliability for essential infrastructure services across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Automate manual operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Support migration of applications from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Plan and implement upgrades for critical infrastructure, including monitoring, security, and load-balancing systems.
  • Contribute to the deployment and management of an OpenShift container platform.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and production issues.
  • Work closely with application, security, and architecture teams to deliver solutions that meet banking standards and regulatory requirements.
