Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.3-5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure or engineering compute environments. Proven experience in Linux system administration. Experience in supporting EDA tools. Proficiency in managing software license servers. Strong understanding of:Networking principles. Storage systems architecture. Linux operating environments. Engineering compute infrastructures. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Must be willing to work full-time, onsite, in Atlanta, GA.

We are currently seeking an IT/EDA Systems Engineer who will play a pivotal role at the crossroads of IT infrastructure, Linux engineering environments, and semiconductor design toolchains. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability and scalability of our enterprise infrastructure while providing support for EDA tools, simulation clusters, and Linux compute environments utilized by our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization environments.
  • Deploy, maintain, and optimize EDA environments specifically designed for RFIC and semiconductor design.
  • Collaborate with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
  • Administer Cadence design tools and associated toolchains.
  • Manage EDA license servers and monitor license utilization.
  • Maintain Linux-based compute clusters utilized for simulation and verification processes.
  • Optimize compute infrastructure for EDA simulation workloads.
  • Manage Linux infrastructure (RHEL / Ubuntu / CentOS) that supports engineering teams.
  • Maintain high-performance storage systems utilized for design data.
  • Develop scripts and automation solutions to enhance infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Ensure the integrity of corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and cloud services.
  • Manage authentication systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Support internal teams with their infrastructure needs.
