Your RoleAs the Chief Financial Officer at Turnkey, you will spearhead the entire finance department, working closely with the COO, CEO, and the executive team to ensure that the company’s financial infrastructure aligns with its growth trajectory. You will be the lead financial strategist, responsible for developing robust, audit-ready processes while serving as a trusted advisor—simplifying complex financial realities into actionable insights for executive decision-making.This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for a seasoned finance professional eager to architect the financial framework for a rapidly expanding, usage-based infrastructure business. You will maintain a balance between thoroughness and agility, establishing necessary structures while allowing Turnkey to operate swiftly, invest wisely, and expand sustainably.Your ResponsibilitiesLead the comprehensive finance function at Turnkey, encompassing accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax, audit, and compliance.Establish and formalize controllership processes tailored for a venture-backed organization.Manage and enhance relationships with external accounting, tax, audit, and advisory firms.Guide and develop existing finance personnel, including a strong FP&A or strategic finance lead.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and operational models, translating financial data into valuable business insights.Ensure financial governance, controls, and audit preparedness as the company scales.Supervise Turnkey’s usage-based billing and invoicing systems, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.Assess, implement, and enhance financial systems and tools (ERP, billing, reporting).Proactively identify and prepare for future compliance, tax, and financial risk needs.What We SeekDemonstrated experience leading finance in a Series C or later stage startup or scaleup.Solid background in controllership and operational finance (hands-on or closely adjacent).Experience overseeing audits, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance.Comfortable navigating complex billing environments; familiarity with usage-based or consumption models is highly preferred.Proven track record in building or modernizing finance processes and systems.
