Required Qualifications:University degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistered (or eligible for registration) as a member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada (P. Eng preferred)A minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy industryComprehensive understanding of industrial production issuesWillingness to work outside the office occasionallyPreferred Technical Skills:Proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCADExperience with instrumentation and field wiring of control systemsAbility to perform calculations such as cable pull, heat trace, volt drop, and cable sizingKnowledge of heat trace and cable tray designExpertise in control panel and power system modeling designFamiliarity with grounding studies and designUnderstanding of protection relay and VFD parameter settingsExperience with power distribution equipment

The Intermediate Industrial Electrical Engineer will oversee a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic about working independently and building strong business relationships within the local industrial sector. Occasional travel to industrial sites across Western Canada may be required. This position may be based in our Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all project phases

  • Create detailed drawings and specifications
  • Draft equipment specifications
  • Coordinate effectively with stakeholders
  • Provide technical assistance to various clients
  • Evaluate proposals and provide procurement recommendations
