Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistered or eligible for registration as a member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada (P. Eng preferred)At least 3 years of experience in heavy industryComprehensive understanding of industrial production challengesAble to work occasionally outside of the officePreferred SkillsProficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCADExperience with instrumentation and field wiring for control systemsAbility to perform calculations such as cable pull, heat trace, voltage drop, and cable sizingExpertise in heat trace and cable tray designControl panel design experiencePower system modeling including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash studiesFamiliarity with grounding studies and designKnowledge of protection relay and VFD parameter settings

The Intermediate Industrial Electrical Engineer will oversee a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies. We seek a proactive individual who thrives in independent work and is enthusiastic about building robust business relationships within the local industrial sector. Occasional travel to industrial sites across Western Canada will be necessary. This position can be based in our Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, or Saskatoon offices.
