Possession of a diploma or degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field, along with a valid Class 5 Driver's License and eligibility for professional designation. Strong understanding of Alberta and Saskatchewan environmental regulations, with proven field experience in soil characterization, groundwater monitoring, and sampling techniques. Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across diverse teams. Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects within fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while effectively prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing demands. Robust problem-solving skills, proactive initiative, and a strong capacity for relationship building within diverse teams.

About the job

As an Intermediate Environmental Consultant at FLINT, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with clients and colleagues to develop effective work plans for contaminated site management. Your responsibilities will include coordinating subcontractors, overseeing project management, and providing detailed reports on site characterization and remediation efforts. With over five years of relevant consulting experience in the Alberta and Saskatchewan oil and gas sectors, along with a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field, you will play a crucial role in our mission. This position may require travel for field-based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute remediation programs, including Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater treatment, and monitoring activities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing reclamation programs, encompassing both small and large-scale surface reclamation and Detailed Site Assessments.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and technical preparation of environmental reports.
  • Implement and adhere to both corporate and client safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
