Mandatory Skills for Infrastructure Project Manager8+ years of IT project management experience. PMP and/or ITIL certification is advantageous. Strong grasp of project management methodologies. Conceptual understanding of various IT domains including desktop, server, security, network, COTS applications, storage, and databases. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at senior levels. Experience delivering over 10 projects across different lifecycle stages. Skills in planning, financial oversight, and budget control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, SharePoint, and CA Clarity is a plus. Experience in client-facing roles, particularly with server hardware/virtual refresh and data center migrations.

Procom Services is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our client’s team for a contract opportunity based in Dallas, TX.

Job Overview

The Infrastructure Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards while adhering to budgetary and time constraints. This role involves comprehensive management across governance, project scope, costing, scheduling, communication, planning, tracking, and risk mitigation, all aimed at achieving total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project requirements and facilitate agreement processes with the Project Governance Board.
  • Manage project delivery in collaboration with customers and delivery units, ensuring effective handover to service.
  • Regularly report project status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing effective plans to mitigate impacts on timeframes and costs.
  • Establish and maintain Change Control processes against agreed plans.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance project revenue and manage changes to the project baseline.
  • Track project costs and support payment milestones.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and promote long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee project resources, defining roles and responsibilities while ensuring clarity of tasks among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with standard policies and procedures while sharing lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.

Additionally, the role includes designing, testing, and documenting applications that support our services, including Service Desk ticketing software and monitoring tools.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Successful project delivery within contractual obligations, on time, and within budget.
  • Achievement of client satisfaction targets as measured by surveys.
  • Compliance with governance, risk management, and control requirements.
