With an increasing number of clients transitioning to hosted solutions, we are seeking both junior and senior systems engineers to enhance our team. Key Responsibilities - Deployment
- Collaborate with co-location partners to design optimal cage, rack, and server layouts, ensuring space, power, and cooling are consistently maintained for existing and anticipated solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to craft solutions that maximize performance, efficiency, and operability of our hosted services.
- Lead and actively participate in provisioning and deploying server, network, and other hosting-related equipment, including hands-on building and configuration as required.
- Engage in the deployment of new applications and modifications, ensuring all service components are adequately documented, monitored, and seamlessly integrated into our operational processes.
- Conduct hardware qualification testing on new platforms and certify them for production readiness.
- Coordinate with stakeholders throughout the solutions lifecycle to secure pre-operational sign-offs, ensuring operational alignment with performance targets such as security, availability, and response times.
- Assist in troubleshooting integration issues.
- Consult with technical stakeholders, including customers, on delivering exceptional hosted solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Operations
- Perform hands-on administration and maintenance of hosted solutions and related infrastructure (firewalls, switches, servers, storage, etc.), proactively identifying and resolving potential incidents, as well as managing backups.
- Participate in defining, documenting, operating, and continually improving operational processes, including ITIL-based procedures such as incident, change, problem, and configuration management, ensuring smooth integration with broader company systems.
- Establish, implement, monitor, and report on metrics essential for delivering highly-available hosted services, catering to the needs of management, engineering, customer services, and our clients.
