Role Overview: Infrastructure Engineer for Customer Deployments
This role focuses on deploying Reducto’s platform into customer environments, which can include Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and on-premises bare metal. Each deployment brings its own set of hardware, networking, security, and reliability requirements. The engineer in this position works directly with customer teams to ensure successful, secure, and reliable deployments.
Rather than building internal platforms, this role is about hands-on implementation and direct collaboration with enterprise customers’ infrastructure, security, and platform teams. The work bridges Reducto’s technology with customer systems, requiring both technical depth and strong communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, configure, test, and implement end-to-end deployments of Reducto in customer environments.
- Work closely with enterprise IT, security, and platform teams to understand their infrastructure and security policies, and design deployment strategies that fit their needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the hardware supporting Reducto’s in-house machine learning models to ensure deployments run smoothly on customer systems.
- Build monitoring, telemetry, and phone-home solutions that provide visibility into customer-managed deployments while maintaining security standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues specific to each customer, such as Kubernetes configuration problems or cloud IAM challenges, to reduce downtime.
- Lead incident response for customer deployments, maintaining high operational standards.
- Document best practices and create reusable patterns for future deployments.
