Required Qualifications & Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.3 to 5 years of relevant experience in information security. Certification in Vulnerability Assessment (e.g., GIAC, CEH) is required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience conducting network vulnerability assessments. Practical experience in performing application scans and code reviews for various technologies. Familiarity with OWASP tools and methodologies is essential. Strong understanding of network security and information security concepts and technologies. In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, as well as Linux and Unix variants. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Nexpose, Saint). Experience with web application vulnerability scanning tools.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments across diverse applications, systems, and networks to identify security weaknesses.
  • Effectively communicate identified security vulnerabilities and recommended remediation strategies to various internal teams, ensuring successful validation of corrective actions.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to pinpoint vulnerabilities and rectify errors that may have been missed during the software development phase.
  • Recognize and evaluate potential security risks within the software development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Utilize both commercial and open-source tools for vulnerability assessment, ensuring a robust evaluation process.
  • Manually verify vulnerabilities to reduce the occurrence of false positives.
  • Generate detailed assessment reports and present findings to management and technical teams.
  • Establish metrics for tracking and analyzing vulnerability data to enhance security posture.
  • Support regular penetration testing efforts to uncover hidden vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain internal tools and automate tasks using AI technologies.
  • Stay informed about the latest information security threats and trends.
  • Provide training to security team members on vulnerability management processes and tools.
