Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical certification or an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the food production sector. Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, motor controls, and other control systems is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals effectively.

This vital role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery and systems within a bakery production environment. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation and safety of equipment, minimize downtime, and support production while upholding high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently troubleshoot and repair bakery machinery, including mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, and packaging lines.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems swiftly to restore equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control systems to ensure optimal performance aligned with production needs.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to avert unexpected equipment failures and extend machinery life.
  • Leverage diagnostic tools to foresee potential equipment malfunctions and proactively mitigate risks to ensure uninterrupted production.

Equipment Optimization & Efficiency

  • Assess equipment performance and suggest modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Partner with production teams to adjust machine settings for optimal output with minimal waste.
  • Address recurring mechanical issues through adjustments, modifications, or replacements of parts and systems.

Installation & Upgrades

  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrade existing systems to boost production capabilities and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams during the commissioning of new technologies and machinery, ensuring compatibility with current systems.
