Key Responsibilities:Assist the security operations, incident response, and risk management teams in their efforts. Triage alerts and effectively communicate their impact and severity to the broader security team. Collaborate with all segments of the security team to document and share ongoing and future initiatives. Analyze and act upon events and information from system logs. Organize and manage information within the security ticketing system. Compile and structure routine reports for dissemination to larger audiences. Required Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years of experience with a core understanding of security fundamentals across various domains, including security operations, incident response, risk management, compliance, and training. Practical knowledge of popular EDR, SIEM, and MDM platforms. Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA and knowledge management tools such as Confluence. Proficiency in scripting with languages such as Python, Perl, and Bash for custom code development. Familiarity with common SIEM tools, particularly Splunk. Understanding of compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC, and CMMC. Experience in a CSIRT or SOC environment is advantageous. A basic understanding of networking and network security principles. Adept at converting large data sets into actionable insights for the security team and leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
