We are currently seeking an Impact Investment Analyst in London to join a prominent firm within our partner network.
Impact Investment Analyst - London
Compensation: £70,000 - £95,000 per annum, based on experience (plus performance-related bonus)
Your Responsibilities:
As an Impact Investment Analyst, you will assess investment opportunities that deliver both financial returns and measurable social or environmental benefits. Your contributions will play a vital role in guiding capital allocation. Your key responsibilities will include:
Identifying and evaluating potential investments across various sectors, including climate technology, affordable housing, healthcare access, and financial inclusion.
Performing thorough due diligence on target companies, evaluating both their financial health and impact metrics.
Creating financial models that forecast returns while quantifying social and environmental impacts.
Developing impact measurement frameworks using recognized standards such as IRIS+, GIIRS, or SDG alignment.
Drafting investment memos and presentations for investment committees and senior leadership.
Monitoring the performance of portfolio companies post-investment, focusing on financial success and impact indicators.
Providing strategic support to portfolio companies to enhance their impact and improve economic viability.
Conducting research on emerging trends in impact investing, ESG integration, and blended finance models.
Qualifications:
Experience in consulting from MBB, Big Four, or boutique firms with a focus on social impact, sustainability, or ESG work.
2-4 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting.
Proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF models, comparables analysis, and scenario planning.
A solid understanding of impact measurement frameworks and the capacity to assess non-financial results.
Exceptional research, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
