Your Role
As the Hub Construction Supervisor, you will take charge of a team of Construction Operatives, executing projects related to bus shelters, digital advertising screens, and free-standing advertising units. You will be responsible for planning work from the depot, overseeing onsite activities, and ensuring that all projects are completed to specifications, safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This role covers the Central Region and may occasionally require travel away from home, including some evening or weekend work. We will provide you with a van for transportation and arrange accommodations for any necessary overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Construction Operatives, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly operations, ensuring the availability of labor, materials, vehicles, and equipment.
- Act as the on-site supervisor for assigned projects, including performing NRSWA operative duties as required.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and completion checks, addressing any issues and documenting activities in our systems.
- Foster strong relationships with your team, as well as Operations and Project Managers, Site Inspectors, and Administrative staff.
- Take the lead on health and safety protocols onsite, including RAMS, permits, audits, dynamic risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Oversee routine inspections of vehicles, equipment, and machinery, collaborating with the depot and fleet teams on any concerns.
- Assist in managing stock, materials, and consumables to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.
- Support budget management by maintaining accurate records and monitoring costs.
Qualifications:
- Extensive on-site construction experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams on active sites.
- Considerable experience in street works, highways, civil engineering, utilities, or a related field.
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation, with the ability to work as an operative on-site.
