Our client is a private equity-backed technology services and managed services enterprise located in London. They specialize in providing IT infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions to mid-market clients throughout the UK. Supported by a prestigious growth equity fund, the company has experienced significant expansion through both organic growth and five successful acquisitions over the past four years. As they build the strategic framework necessary to maintain this growth trajectory toward exit, the leadership team combines extensive technical expertise with robust commercial capabilities.
The Role
As the Head of Strategy, you will serve as the CEO's key advisor on all strategic matters, overseeing the strategic planning process and leading crucial strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the business makes informed, evidence-based decisions on issues critical to its long-term success. This is a high-impact role for a commercially astute strategist poised to step into a central leadership position.
What You'll Do
- Lead the annual strategic planning process, coordinating input across the organization and delivering a clear, funded strategic plan for Board approval.
- Manage significant strategic projects on behalf of the CEO, including mergers and acquisitions, market expansion, operating model design, and competitive positioning.
- Continuously develop and maintain insights into market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare materials for Board and investor meetings, including strategic updates, capital allocation proposals, and M&A investment documents.
- Build and lead a small strategy team, enhancing their analytical and commercial skills over time.
