REQUIREMENTS:Workday HCM, Benefits, and Compensation certifications are mandatory. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Workday Lead/Solution Architect in Higher Education settings, focusing on Workday Core HCM, Benefits, or Compensation. Extensive functional lead experience in Core HCM, Benefits, and Compensation. Experience in re-engineering HR business processes. Ability to translate business requirements into effective system configurations. Experience in developing functional business integration requirements. Additional experience as a functional lead in areas such as Recruiting and Talent Management. Experience in implementing Academic and Activity Pay is advantageous. Familiarity with third-party integrations is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sierra-Cedar is on the lookout for a highly skilled and certified HCM/Compensation Solution Architect to join our dynamic Workday Higher Education practice. If you're enthusiastic about Workday technology, enjoy collaborating with clients, and thrive in a consulting environment, this role is for you! Our team possesses a wealth of expertise and industry knowledge, enabling us to deliver exceptional consulting services that empower clients to maximize their use of Workday software. This role requires 50% travel, with projects taking place at various client locations across the nation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Workday functional authority, guiding clients through the complete systems development lifecycle.
  • Lead clients through all project phases, including discovery, design, configuration, and testing.
  • Facilitate clients' full integration of the Workday system into their existing business frameworks.
  • Provide expert advice on available options, potential risks, and impacts on related processes or systems.
  • Tailor the Workday system configuration to align with each client's specific business needs and share best practice insights.
  • Collaborate with the client and data migration team to convert legacy data to Workday.
  • Support the integration team in the design, configuration, and testing of both delivered and custom integrations.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and punctually, keeping managers updated on progress.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the Workday solution delivery process.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as a functional lead in areas such as Recruiting, Talent Management, and Performance Management.
  • Expertise in implementing Academic and Activity Pay.
  • Familiarity with third-party integration providers.
  • Proficient in Workday calculated fields.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and MS Office suite.
  • SHRM, PRH, SPHR, or CEBS certification is a plus.
