Qualifications

Required Qualifications:5+ years of proven experience leading hardware product development teams, focusing on systems integration and managing cross-functional dependencies. Experience in overseeing and reporting on the master schedule for hardware builds, prototyping, and validation activities, ensuring alignment with overall product milestones. Ability to represent hardware teams and priorities across the organization, effectively communicating risks, statuses, and trade-offs, including technical disciplines beyond your expertise. Extensive experience in products involving electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, DFM/DFA, manufacturing processes, and product validation/testing. Proven ability to collaborate closely with teams outside the hardware organization, including Product Management, Software, Manufacturing, and Operations. At least 1 year of experience working with international partners on the joint development and manufacturing of products, overseeing their design, build, and test activities throughout the full product development lifecycle. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as effective collaboration is crucial.

Role overview

The Hardware System Technical Program Manager guides complex hardware systems from initial concept through production and launch. This role sits at the center of the hardware product lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration of systems into Impulse’s products.

What you will do

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware Engineers, through every stage of hardware development
  • Coordinate efforts with Product Management, Finance, Tech Operations, Marketing, and company leadership
  • Drive hardware program execution, keeping projects aligned with business objectives and timelines
  • Manage collaboration with joint development partners and internal stakeholders
