Qualifications
Your Core ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and software engineers to architect and co-design machine learning models, taking hardware constraints such as latency budgets, resource limitations, and numerical precision into account. Influence the direction of our custom hardware roadmap by translating machine learning model requirements into concrete architectural decisions. Engage directly with hardware engineers to implement, validate, and deploy machine learning inference solutions from initial proof-of-concept to full production. Monitor and assess emerging research in neural architecture search, machine learning systems, and quantization methods to identify opportunities for tangible improvements in our systems. Your Skills and ExperienceDeep understanding of hardware constraints and design trade-offs (e.g., pipelining, resource utilization, fixed-point arithmetic) that impact the efficient mapping of machine learning models onto FPGAs or custom ASICs. Experience with hardware fundamentals, demonstrated through VHDL/SystemVerilog development, or similar technologies.
