Our client is a Series B online marketplace headquartered in London. Their platform connects independent professionals with project-based roles in creative, tech, and marketing fields. With more than 500,000 registered professionals and a growing customer base, they are building out a Growth Strategy function to drive user acquisition, improve conversion, and strengthen customer economics. The company is backed by top European and US venture capital firms and is preparing for a Series C round.
Role Overview
The Growth Strategy Manager shapes the analytical and strategic direction of the company’s growth efforts. This role builds frameworks and models to inform decisions on acquisition, retention, and monetization. Working alongside the Head of Growth, Product, and Marketing, the manager runs experiments, analyzes data, and helps identify the most promising growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and update growth models linking acquisition spend, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value to business outcomes.
- Design and assess A/B tests and growth experiments across acquisition, activation, and retention channels.
- Oversee the growth analytics stack, including funnel reporting, cohort analysis, and channel attribution.
- Work with Marketing and Product teams to spot and prioritize high-impact growth initiatives.
- Deliver regular growth performance reviews to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations for strategic change.
Requirements
- 4–7 years in growth strategy, growth analytics, or a data-focused commercial role within a marketplace or digital product setting.
- Strong quantitative skills; comfortable with SQL, Python, or similar tools, and experienced in building growth and financial models.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to turn analysis into actionable commercial insights.
- Collaborative approach, able to work closely with product, marketing, and finance teams.
