Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects), Procreate, social media marketing, drawing, and content creation. Passionate about news, social justice, and Asian American issues and history. Capable of working independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive, resourceful attitude. Comfortable with unconventional business structures.

Join our dynamic team at aponapmedia as a Graphic Design Assistant! We are on the lookout for a creative individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who is dedicated to fostering inclusive work environments. This role involves collaborating remotely with our Creative Director to shape the visual identity of an innovative news media company focused on Asian American narratives. As a founding team member in the early stages of our startup, you will play a critical role in defining our brand.

At AZI Media, we are currently developing our first product, a weekly podcast titled 'At the Moment', which caters to Asian American audiences. This is a voluntary position, allowing you to work remotely for approximately 10 hours per week until our first round of funding is secured. Compensation will be equity-based during this initial phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with AZI Media’s mission and values.

  • Design, edit, and optimize social media posts, educational materials, advertisements, and various digital content formats (including static images, animated GIFs, and videos) for diverse social media platforms.

  • Manage website content, which includes resizing mobile assets, creating banners, updating information, and ensuring visual consistency across the site.

  • Execute tasks promptly and accurately, adhering to established policies and procedures.

  • Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive employee and company data.
