What You’ll BringFinal year student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, graduating in 2026.Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Java. Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. A genuine interest in financial markets (prior knowledge not required). Fluency in English, both written and spoken. An eagerness to work collaboratively in a new Aarhus-based team and influence its culture and growth.

Join IMC as we establish a pioneering power and gas trading business in Aarhus, Denmark, the epicenter of European energy trading. We are assembling a dynamic, independent team with local leadership, supported by over 30 years of IMC's global trading expertise.

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge technology stack that powers every facet of energy trading—from exchange connectivity and pricing to trading algorithms and real-time data analytics. You will accelerate your growth through our comprehensive global graduate program while making impactful contributions from your first day.

Your IMC Journey

In your inaugural year, you will participate in a five-week Global Trainee Program with peers from our offices across Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific. Guided by seasoned engineers and traders, this immersive experience will familiarize you with the trading landscape, financial markets, and high-quality software development. You will delve into software craftsmanship, programming, and the systems underpinning our trading operations.

Upon returning to our Aarhus office, you will integrate into the Energy Trading team—a collaborative environment where you will design real-time systems, manage large data volumes, and tackle complex engineering challenges that have direct market implications.
