About the role

At SpaceX, we are driven by the belief that a future where humanity explores the cosmos is far more thrilling than one where we remain Earth-bound. We are on a mission to develop groundbreaking technologies that will enable human life on Mars and beyond.

GNC ENGINEER - ORBIT DETERMINATION (STARLINK)

In today's complex orbital landscape, precise knowledge and forecasting of object orbits are crucial for preventing collisions, ensuring mission success, and safeguarding vital space infrastructure. As the population of satellites and space debris grows, advanced orbit determination capabilities become essential for proactive risk management, promoting a sustainable space environment for exploration, communication, and scientific development. SpaceX is in search of skilled engineers with a strong background in orbit determination and object tracking to bolster our space surveillance initiatives. This role will involve utilizing optical and radar observations to maintain an accurate catalog of space objects and facilitate collision avoidance.

By joining our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of the Starlink constellation, which is transforming global connectivity by providing high-speed internet access to underserved areas, bridging digital divides, and enabling life-changing applications in education, healthcare, and disaster response worldwide. Help us address the challenges of space traffic management and drive innovations that will make space safer and more accessible for everyone.
