Job Summary
As we expand our global operations for transformer inference systems, we are in search of a seasoned Global Supply Manager. This role will focus on the sourcing and supplier strategy for essential semiconductor and storage components, including DRAM, HBM, SSDs, and other memory technologies. You will play a crucial role in establishing and managing Etched’s global supply chain for these critical components, ensuring their availability, controlling costs, and enhancing long-term supply stability in a challenging and competitive marketplace. This strategic position will require close collaboration with hardware architecture, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for memory and storage components, including DRAM, HBM, SSDs, and controllers.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with semiconductor and storage suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, allocation, capacity commitments, and long-term supply contracts.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure component selection aligns with supply availability and cost objectives.
- Conduct cost modeling, market benchmarking, and forecasting in volatile semiconductor markets.
- Identify and mitigate risks to supply related to capacity constraints, geopolitical factors, and technological transitions.
- Align sourcing strategies with program timelines, product launches, and volume forecasts.
- Keep abreast of market trends and proactively refine sourcing strategies.
- Provide supply forecasts, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive leadership.
