As the General Manager, you will oversee an innovative intermodal transit service in an exciting tech-driven environment. This position is not about following a predetermined path; instead, you will be at the forefront, navigating challenges and crafting solutions in a dynamic role that blends entrepreneurship, business development, and operational management. This position requires on-site presence in Rochester, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of Via’s service for our partners, ensuring smooth functionality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers and dispatchers, addressing operational challenges with creative scheduling solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the on-site team of dispatchers and shift managers.
  • Be the public face of the operation, building strong relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with Via’s senior management and external partners.
  • Establish clear performance metrics for the team, providing weekly visibility into progress against KPIs.
  • Prepare analytical reports to enhance operational processes, optimize resource allocation, and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations governing service operations.
  • Lead and develop a motivated team of drivers, fostering a collaborative and energetic workplace culture.
