The Principal Supplier Development Engineer - Battery will play a key part in scaling advanced battery manufacturing for the Starlink program. What You Will Do Act as the main technical contact for highly engineered machined components, tackling high-impact manufacturing and quality issues to support the Starship program. Improve part quality and reduce costs by applying first-principles thinking to design, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Identify inefficiencies and engineer solutions that deliver measurable performance and cost improvements. Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain. Lead technical assessments and qualification processes for prospective partners. Investigate and introduce alternative manufacturing methods to lower costs, shorten lead times, and raise quality standards. Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) and qualification activities for new parts and design changes at supplier sites.
