Overview: Kroll Bond Rating Agency UK Limited is on the lookout for a talented Associate/Associate Director to join our expanding Funds Ratings team in our London office. Our Funds team is responsible for assigning and monitoring credit ratings for a diverse array of debt instruments issued by various funds, closed-end funds, and other fund vehicles. KBRA’s growing portfolio includes funds utilizing an array of asset growth and income generation strategies, such as fixed income securities, private equity, private credit, real estate, and middle market lending. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience and a keen interest in fund investment and credit strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit research on various funds, closed-end funds, and investment vehicles.
  • Develop rating and analytical tools, including cash flow and asset coverage models, to assess fund debt structures.
  • Prepare and present internal credit memos and publications through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Engage in diligence meetings with fund management teams to evaluate their investment strategies and risk management capabilities.
  • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets and databases.
  • Collaborate effectively with KBRA experts across sectors like project finance, corporate finance, financial institutions, and structured finance.
  • Support research for internal and publication purposes.
  • Associate Directors should be prepared to lead credit ratings processes and research initiatives independently, particularly on debt transactions involving investment funds and related vehicles.
