FareShare seeks a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Assistant to support the execution of our fundraising strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing charity with a diverse portfolio of partners and innovative campaigns aimed at engaging individual donors.

About FareShare

FareShare is the largest food redistribution charity in the UK, dedicated to alleviating food poverty by reducing food waste. We source surplus food from retailers and manufacturers, engaging countless volunteers to distribute it to local charities and community groups that provide meals to vulnerable populations, including families, the homeless, the unemployed, and individuals recovering from addiction.

With 21 Regional Centres across the UK, we support over 9,600 local charities and community organizations. In the past year alone, FareShare has redistributed 16,992 tonnes of food, resulting in 36.7 million meals and supporting 772,000 individuals weekly.


Key Responsibilities

Donor Engagement

· Manage stewardship efforts for individual donors, corporate groups, volunteers, and other supporters in alignment with our fundraising strategy.

· Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from individuals wishing to support FareShare.

· Provide donors with information and fundraising materials to aid their efforts.

· Support regional charity champions through calls and emails, ensuring they have the resources needed to assist our mission.

· Maintain high standards of communication across all supporter interaction points (telephone, post, email).

Administrative Duties

· Compose and send thank-you letters to individual donors and groups, managing all correspondence for the fundraising team.

· Oversee weekly income allocations from online giving platforms for individual and corporate donors.
