B Capital Group is hiring a Fund Finance Manager based in Los Angeles or San Francisco. This role focuses on fund accounting, portfolio company reporting, quarterly valuations, and a blend of internal and external reporting. The Fund Finance Manager will collaborate across teams and play a key role in supporting the firm's ongoing growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Serve as a core member of a small internal finance team, managing multiple funds with diverse sector, geographic, and strategic focuses.
- Coordinate with internal and external accounting teams to deliver timely and accurate financial reports.
- Use AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to draft LP communications, summarize financial data, automate reporting, and accelerate research.
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance workflows using AI-driven automation and promote these solutions within the team.
- Reconcile and oversee a range of Funds, SPVs, and Holdco entities.
- Work with fund administrators on investments, capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and quarterly financial statements.
- Manage the quarterly valuation process across multiple entities, collaborating with both internal and external teams.
- Oversee line of credit activities, including borrowings, paydowns, interest accruals, and compliance monitoring.
- Support global portfolio reporting by partnering with internal investment and platform teams, external portfolio companies, and managing a global portfolio reporting platform.
- Help develop and implement internal financial controls.
- Contribute to new fund launches by onboarding service providers, opening bank accounts, and coordinating with legal counsel on entity formation and fund documentation.
- Assist with annual audit and tax processes.
- Respond to quarterly and ad hoc investor information requests, coordinating with other business units as needed.
- Support additional ad hoc projects as they arise.
