Role overview
The Functional Safety Engineer - Software position centers on ensuring the safety of both application and platform software developed in-house. The role involves performing functional safety analyses, shaping software safety requirements, and guiding the creation of strong software architectures using established safety methodologies.
What you will do
- Conduct functional safety analyses for internally developed software
- Define and refine software safety requirements
- Lead the development of software architectures with a focus on safety
- Use rigorous safety analysis methods to support software design
- Collaborate with teams in vehicle functional safety, hardware safety, software development, testing, and systems engineering
- Support delivery of safety software across multiple programs and vehicle variants
