Role overview
The Functional Safety Engineer for Infotainment Systems plays a key role within the Functional Safety Engineering team. The focus is on ensuring the safety and reliability of infotainment and connected vehicle systems, including displays, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), telematics, and the intricate interactions between hardware and software in these areas.
What you will do
- Analyze and address safety risks in infotainment systems, such as connectivity failures, display faults, and software errors.
- Define safety requirements and validate systems using LabCar and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing setups.
- Work hands-on to ensure that infotainment issues do not impact safety-critical vehicle functions or distract drivers.
- Collaborate with HMI, Connectivity, and Platform teams, and coordinate with ADAS teams where infotainment and driver support features overlap.
