The ChatGPT Enterprise team at OpenAI operates within the B2B Applications organization, dedicated to tailoring ChatGPT for large-scale business applications. Our mission is to create an effortless experience that allows users to access the same product for personal and professional use, while addressing the specific needs of enterprises, including robust security protocols, administrative controls, regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA/FINRA), and geographic data residency requirements. Our roadmap encompasses three primary workstreams: enterprise controls, user engagement & activation, and tailored company-specific products (e.g., Company Knowledge).
About the Role
We are seeking talented full stack engineers to enhance the product experience for ChatGPT, ensuring it becomes an essential tool for teams. This position emphasizes user benefit and activation: crafting collaborative experiences, onboarding methods, and engagement strategies that empower employees to discover and utilize advanced functionalities, such as agents and customized GPT-like workflows.
In this role, you will:
Develop comprehensive features across frontend, backend-for-frontend, and service layers to enhance team collaboration and work sharing within ChatGPT.
Design and implement activation and engagement systems (e.g., product hooks, discovery interfaces, and user rollout processes) to increase adoption among various user groups within an organization.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers focused on enterprise controls (security, permissions, compliance, data residency) and company knowledge/search to ensure features are launched with appropriate safeguards and enterprise readiness.
Work closely with adjacent teams (including API and agent initiatives) to seamlessly integrate agent functionalities into the ChatGPT user interface, ensuring a native, secure, and scalable experience for business applications.
