What You Will Do Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js Work with APIs, business logic, and manage data flows using PostgreSQL and MongoDB Contribute to frontend features as needed to improve the product experience Build and maintain web scraping and data ingestion pipelines (in compliance with legal and ethical standards) Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor or Copilot to support development Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing systems Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions What We Look For 4+ years of experience in full-stack or backend engineering Strong backend skills with Python and/or Node.js Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and MongoDB Comfortable working on frontend codebases when necessary Interest or experience in web scraping and data-heavy systems Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools Proactive, ownership-driven approach and ability to work independently Eligibility to work in Canada Nice to Have Experience with cloud services and deployment Background in agile development methods
