The ideal candidate will possess:A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.1-2 years of customer service experience. Basic proficiency in office skills, including mathematical competency, cash handling, and computer literacy. A professional appearance, adhering to Red Roof Inn's uniform standards, with a consistently friendly demeanor towards guests and staff. The ability to multitask effectively and operate a computer/switchboard with minimal supervision. Basic English communication skills, both verbal and written. A flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The Front Desk Guest Service Representative (GSR) plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by warmly welcoming them and efficiently addressing their needs and requests. This position ensures that the quality of service aligns with Red Roof Inn's esteemed standards and Hassle Free Guarantee. As a vital part of the hotel team, the GSR maintains financial accountability while safeguarding the safety and security of our guests and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly smile, providing all related services, including wake-up calls, handling inquiries, and maintaining a clean lobby environment.
  • Manage reservation requests, check guests in and out, and perform cash handling duties.
  • Update and monitor reservations, room status, and promote future sales through the front desk computer system.
  • Conduct daily cash counts, prepare bank deposits, and review audit packages.
  • Compile reports on daily occupancy, revenue, and weekly operations, updating corporate memos and operation manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with Inn Management and fellow GSRs regarding guest concerns and room issues.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to manage checkouts, stay-overs, and maintenance requests.
  • Cross-train across various front desk shifts and hotel departments; train new hires on front desk operations.
  • Perform night audit responsibilities, including transaction reconciliation and preparing audit packages for management approval.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating special events.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
