This remote position centers on improving AI systems by designing, testing, and refining complex computational physics challenges. Engagement is strictly on a project basis and does not constitute permanent employment.

Role overview

This freelance role involves creating and validating advanced computational physics problems that require strong Python programming skills. Projects are designed to mirror real research workflows and demand a high level of subject expertise.

What you will do

  • Design original computational physics problems inspired by authentic research scenarios.
  • Develop challenges that require Python solutions, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and not easily solvable by hand.
  • Incorporate complex reasoning across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Validate solutions in Python, using standard physics simulation tools.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide accurate, verified answers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
  • Strong Python programming skills for numerical validation. Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, Stata, or similar languages is valued.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience, including research, applied, or teaching roles.
  • Background in numerical simulation methods.
  • Ability to design research-inspired physics problems.
  • Creativity in problem design across multiple physics domains.
  • Understanding of modeling and approximation techniques in physics.
  • Excellent written English (C1 level or higher).
