About the job
At The Exploration Company, we are on a mission to innovate the future of space travel with Nyx, our state-of-the-art modular and reusable orbital vehicle. This transformative technology is designed for in-orbit refueling and has the potential to transport cargo and, eventually, humans.
We are seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the electronic systems essential for our capsule's successful flight.
Your success in this role will be defined by your ability to:
Develop VHDL code to validate the required functions in our FPGAs.
Collaborate with the digital circuit board design team, focusing on FPGAs and microcontrollers suitable for space environments.
Design and validate digital interface circuitry, including CAN, RS422, UART, I2C, SPI, and Spacewire.
Create initial test software to validate interfaces and hardware functionalities.
Ensure that designs meet standards for failure and radiation tolerance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Digital Electronics Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Designing digital electronics architecture.
FPGA design and verification.
Collaborating closely with Systems Engineers to define the digital functionality's capabilities and requirements.
Developing initial test software to validate interfaces and hardware functions.
