The FPGA Associate role in San Francisco is a twelve-week, salaried position designed for recent graduates from four-year universities. Associates work directly on challenging projects, often contributing to hardware and software that will be used in space. Many former associates have moved into full-time roles at Astranis. Those who have not yet graduated from a four-year university are encouraged to consider the Internship program instead.

What you will do

  • Develop RTL for FPGA-targeted applications
  • Work with multiple FPGAs and associated toolchains
  • Interface FPGAs with peripherals such as high-speed data converters, memories, and microcontroller units (MCUs)
  • Write software to interface with and test RTL in hardware
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers

Requirements

  • B. S. or M. S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in hardware development and hands-on design
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing high-throughput systems on FPGAs
  • Proficiency with Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Familiarity with FPGA development tools and methodologies
